Chapter 1:

Hale’s gaze flickers between Stiles’ two eyes, as if searching for a sign of doubt in either of them. The corner of his mouth tugs up in a sly smile.

“Okay,” he says. “You’re in.” He takes the pink slip from Stiles’ hand and gives it to Cora. Stiles expects him to back off then, but instead he takes another step forward, bringing them face to face with only a couple inches of air between them. “Let’s see what you got.”
